Medical Direction & Services provided by Qualified and Experienced Doctors

We coordinate with the attending physician so we can provide your loved ones with the appropriate hospice care and services. In addition, we are connected with other medical professionals to ensure that your loved ones get the highest quality of care.

Trained and Skilled Nursing Services

Our comprehensive skilled nursing services include assessment of your loved one’s condition, provision of pain and symptom management and comfort measures.

Hospice Aide Services

The hospice aide will assist your loved ones with personal care and with activities of daily living such as ambulation, transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as assigned by the registered nurse.

Social Worker Services

Social workers will determine the psychosocial and emotional needs of patients and their families. In addition, social workers will provide counseling and assistance in coping with anxiety, depression, fear, stress, family conflicts, financial needs, placements, and concerns about the end-of-life stage.

Spiritual Support and Counseling provided by Qualified Religious Counselors

We understand how difficult it is to accept certain aspects of life when your loved one is in hospice care, and we’re here to help ease your mind. We can guide you to the right spiritual group for support and counseling and connect with other people in similar situations.

Pain and Symptom Management and Comfort Measures

Our reliable, compassionate, and dedicated professionals will help your loved ones control their pain and symptoms for an improved quality of life while they are receiving hospice care and services.

Medication and Medical Equipment

We provide guidance, education, and teachings on proper medication administration: indication, dosage, strength and frequency, and route, as ordered by the licensed attending physician or hospice medical director. Additionally, we assess your loved one’s needs for specialized medical equipment such as a hospital bed, mattress, bedside rails, oxygen, suction machine, nebulizer, walker, wheelchair, bedside commode, shower chair, etc.

Trained Volunteers

Fortitude Hospice has trained volunteers who will provide those in hospice care and their families with love, compassion, and respect.
